Republic Day Special: Bollywood’s top patriotic songs

 Bollywood has seen its fair share of patriotic movies – from The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, which was an ode to the braveheart to a thought-provoking film like Swades. On Republic Day today, we look back at the patriotic songs that have left an impact on us.


1. Dil diya hai jaan bhi denge (Karma)



This one beautifully encapsulates our love for our country – guess that’s why it’s a staple Independence and Republic Day song.

 

2. Ae mere pyare watan (Kabuliwala)



The pain in singer Manna Dey’s voice reflects the sorrow of staying away from home.
